Highland Canine Training, LLC is pleased to announce the opening of a new dog training location based in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

Professional dog trainer Belinda Tsakonas will serve clients in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Old Forge and the surrounding areas. Belinda is a graduate of the Master Dog Trainer program at the School for Dog Trainers and recently completed an internship with Highland Canine. She will provide a range of dog training services to dog owners in Scranton.

Highland Canine Training now operates 15 dog training locations across 10 states, enabling the company to offer professional, best-in-class services to dog owners across the United States.

Belinda moved to Scranton at a young age, and has lived there ever since. At the age of 12, she obtained her first dog, Tweak, and taught him basic obedience and dog tricks.

A veteran who enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 2009, Belinda was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013/2014. After medical retirement in 2018, Belinda took some time to think about her next career move. She decided to follow her passion for animals and enrolled in the Master Dog Trainer program at the School for Dog Trainers

More recently, Belinda completed an internship with Highland Canine as a service dog and pet dog trainer. She is hoping to help dog owners in Scranton to resolve any problems they are having with their dog.

Belinda is offering the following dog training services in Scranton and the nearby areas:

As Belinda explains, she is excited about the prospect of working with dog owners in Scranton.

“Mostly, I’m looking to improve the lives of pet owners through understanding what their dog needs,” says Belinda. “This will make their life better, and so they can enjoy each other’s company, instead of worrying about bad or destructive behavior, or not being able to go on a nice walk.

“Owning a dog should be fun, not a chore. I’m looking forward to bringing out the potential in every dog I work with!”

Commenting on the new location in Scranton, PA, Jason Purgason, President of Highland Canine Training, LLC, said:

“Bringing our programs to dog owners in Scranton is really exciting for all of us at Highland Canine. Our mission is to continually improve that relationship between dogs and their owners.

Belinda is a great dog trainer, and we know she’ll make a big difference to dog owners in Scranton.”
