Highland Canine Training, LLC is pleased to announce the opening of a new dog training location based in Spokane, Washington.
Dana Parris will serve clients in Spokane, Coeur D’Alene and nearby areas. Dana is a recent graduate of the Master Dog Trainer program at the School for Dog Trainers and will provide a range of dog training services.
This expansion follows the launch of locations in Tennessee, Ohio and Arizona in 2020. Highland Canine Training now operates twelve dog training locations across eight states, enabling the company to offer professional, best-in-class services to dog owners across the United States.
Dogs have been an integral part of Dana’s life from a very young age. In fact, when she was only six months old, Dana’s family acquired a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Jock, who would live until Dana was in her teens. Following Jock, her family acquired another Staffie, Charlie. Currently, Dana owns a Prague Ratter called Oscar.
Fueled by a passion for dogs, Dana graduated from the Master Dog Trainer program at the School for Dog Trainers. The program is an intensive six-month course which covers all aspects of dog training, mixing hands-on training with a complete understanding of canine behavior theory. This education provided Dana with exposure to different types of dogs in varied environments, giving her the tools to help dog owners resolve problematic behaviors.
Dana is offering the following services in Spokane, Coeur d’Alene and the surrounding areas:
As Dana explains, she is enthusiastic about the prospect of working with dog owners who need help with troublesome behaviors.
“I’ve always loved dogs, so being able to channel my passion into dog training is wonderful.
During my studies at the School for Dog Trainers, I learned a lot about how to deal with different behavioral issues. For me, resolving miscommunication – and teaching owners how their dogs learn and understand – is key for building a strong human-canine bond.
I can’t wait to be able to put this knowledge into practice and help dog owners in Spokane. This is such a rewarding career, and seeing the changes you can make in a family’s life is incredible.”
Commenting on the new location in Spokane, WA, Jason Purgason, President of Highland Canine Training, LLC, said:
