Our Board and Train programs in Lexington are the perfect dog training solution if you lead a busy lifestyle or are heading out-of-town on vacation or business. After your drop your dog off for their three or six-week stay, your dog will receive one-on-one training on a daily basis for the duration of their stay. In addition, they will have the opportunity to interact with other dogs in a safe and controlled environment.ย
All we require from you is a current copy of your dog’s vaccination records, enough food to last for their stay, and any medications they require.ย ย

Danielle Browning
Your Lexington, NC Dog Trainer
Danielle was born and raised in Lexington, NC. She has been a valuable member of the Highland Canine team for five years, helping numerous dog owners in the Lexington area to improve their relationship with their dog.
After Danielle graduated from High School, she pursued an Associates in Business Administration with an Accounting track. After realizing she would love to work outdoors and with animals, she found the School for Dog Trainers and immediately fell in love with working with dogs. โLearning about dog behavior and training, and being able to work hands on with working dogs, service dogs, and problematic dogs become eye opening and rewarding.โย
After graduating at the top of her class from a 24-week Master Dog Trainer Program, she started her professional dog training career in Lexington. NC. โIt is so important to build a good foundation when training,” says Danielle. “You have to make sure the expectations stay consistent so that your dog can learn what behaviors are and are not allowed in your home.โ

Basic Board And Train Dog Training $1,750
On-Leash Dog Training
Our basic or on-leash board and train package lasts for three weeks.
This is a great program for dogs who have had no professional dog training. During our basic program, we will teach the dog to sit, down, stay, come, place, and to heel. Your dog will learn to perform the commands –ย even without treats and under considerable distractions. We will proof them during the board and train program. We also work on any issues you may be experiencing with your dog, such as; jumping on people, barging out the door, getting on furniture, counter surfing, and pulling on the leash.
Included with our Basic Board And Train Dog Training Program is a video of your dog’s training as well as one-on-one training with you when you pick them up. With any of our training programs, we also offer free follow-up training for as long as you own the dog.

Advanced Board And Train Dog Training $2,150
Off-Leash Dog Training
Our Advanced or Off Leash Board And Train package lasts for three weeks. This program works well for dogs who have previously been through our basic program or an equivalent.
During our Advanced Board and Train Dog Training Program, we will teach the dog to sit, down, stay, come, place, and to heel – all completely off-leash. Much like our basic training program, we ensure your dog will respond to commands even with distractions, by maintaining the dog’s focus through a variety of situations.
If your dog has any issues such as jumping up, counter surfing, jumping on furniture, and pulling on the leash, these issues will be addressed in this program. Included with this program is an instructional video of your dog’s training, a Dogtra remote training collar, and one-on-one training with you when you pick the dog up.
With any of our training programs, we offer free follow-up training for as long as you own the dog.

Boot Camp Board And Train Dog Training $3,550
On and Off Leash Dog Training
Our most popular board and train package, our Boot Camp program lasts for six weeks and is great for owners who want off-leash results from a dog that has never had any previous professional dog training.
The Boot Camp board and train program teaches the dog to sit, down, stay, come, place, and to heel, both on and off leash. With our Boot Camp Board and Train, we are able to build a solid foundation for your dog and work through the stages of training at the dog’s pace. We will expose your dog to a variety of different environments, distractions, and situations during our Boot Camp Training.
This course is also the best option for owners with dogs with behavioral problems such as: biting, fighting, phobias, resource guarding, territorial aggression, growling, snapping, fear aggression, and dominance aggression.
Included with this program is a video of your dog’s training, a Dogtra remote training collar, and one-on-one training with you when you pick the dog up.
With any of our training programs, we offer free follow-up training for as long as you own the dog.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
You will need to provide:
- Enough food for the duration of your dog’s stay
- A valid Rabies certificate
- Current copy of vaccination record
- Any medications your dog may need during its stay
Yes, if you grant permission at drop-off, then we will allow your dog to mingle and play with other socially appropriate dogs. Your dog will always be supervised when in the presence of other dogs at our facility.

Please note that a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot. You can make a deposit by visiting the deposit page on our website, scrolling down to Board and Train, and selecting Danielle’s name from the dropdown.
We require 50% of the total cost of the Board and Train program when you drop your dog off. The balance is due when your pick your dog up.
Yes – we provide considerable discounts on our Board and Train programs for multiple dogs from the same household.
Yes, our trainer is only a phone call or email away! We will be happy to send photos and provide details of their progress.
